Wien (AT), 19TH september 2018
The circular economy concept is being widely studied as a possible path to a sustainable development. By keeping material resources in our economy as long as possible, primary raw material demand as well as waste generation, and associated environmental impacts should be reduced. To what extent a circular economy can actually contribute to a more sustainable use of resources and which challenges are to be tackled in this regard were subject of the International Symposium on “Science to Support Circular Economy”, which was hosted by the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Anthropogenic Resources at TU Wien on September 19th, 2018. Leading researchers from various European countries presented and discussed their latest research in an informal setting.
The Austrian partner ATM presented CIRCE2020 in the poster session and published an extended abstract in the conference proceedings.
