The Institute “Jožef Stefan,” Energy Efficiency Centre (JSI), is organizing a national roundtable event in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment, Climate, and Energy (MOPE). This roundtable is a joint event of the EU LIFE project SMAFIN and the Interreg Central Europe project MESTRI-CE. It follows previous national roundtables of the Sustainable Energy Investment Forums (SEIF) on financing energy efficiency in Slovenia.
In the opening plenary session, keynote speakers will discuss the national and European contexts of building energy renovation policies. The first thematic session will focus on funding sources and financial instruments, while the second will highlight best practices in financing building energy renovations. The third thematic session will delve into various aspects of preparing building renovation projects.
The national roundtable session will bring together key stakeholders from Slovenia, including representatives from the European Commission, ministries, local governments, public and commercial banks, insurance companies, the construction, industrial, and service sectors, energy service companies, local energy agencies, business support organizations, energy advisors, researchers, and NGOs. Participants will have ample time for discussions in thematic sections, allowing them to exchange views, explore selected topics in depth, and offer recommendations for concrete measures to promote investment in building energy renovations in Slovenia.
