It is a Design Sprint Workshop in which CCIs, SMEs, young innovators and local associations will be catalysts of a brainstorming and protagonists of a cross-collaboration process, to think about innovative communication and service design processes, with the aim of focusing on common values on sustainability and the future of communities.
The pilot action “La Velocittà: Local Turbobiking” is a Design Sprint Workshop which will be organized in the framework of the Welcome Design Workshop event in Venice, at IUAV University. It will involve designers, researchers, and young innovators as “providers” of knowledge and a mixed group of companies, local associations, and students as “hosts” of innovation processes, namely, the beneficiaries of this first capacity building action.
In particular, thie Workshop aims to expand and rethink sustainable and bicycle-based mobility in the Venice area, focusing on some crucial questions: is the bicycle a protagonist in today’s urban reality? Do we feel safe? And do those who come to the city as tourists know how to get around?
During the activities local associations, businesses, designers, and a group of students and young innovators will design with the bike, for the bike, for the people who love it, and for the people who hate it, thinking critically, through scenarios and prototypes, about the local coexistence of different actors and infrastructures. A final exhibition at the workshop venue will document the results achieved.
