A second life was breathed into this mill by the artist, actor, and director originally from Russia, later living in Poland and currently in Czech Republic, Wladimir Abramuszkin, along with his wife Eva, who established the foundation of a creative community.
Art Mlýn is a former water mill from the 17th century, it now serves as a meeting place for artists, creative people, and especially the local community through various events. The cosy and creative space offers unique experiences that are also linked to educational and cultural activities for children and adults (exhibitions, festivals and art workshops). One of them is the Mlýnske kolo, a historical day when the Art Mlýn is transformed into a stage for folklore groups, a gallery for local artists or a museum of historical objects. These days are not only a treat for locals, but also an attraction for tourists. One of the colleague also visited Mlýnske kolo, 18th edition of the festival, how else but on a bicycle, and within the Capacity2Transform project he had a short workshop with the owners of the Art mlýn during which together they brainstormed ways to better present these activities to the public and build capacity for responsible tourism in the region.
