The purpose was to find out how forest sector stakeholders prioritize the importance and value of several forest ecosystem services within that region. Among others, it was discussed how to manage protected forested areas without financial disadvantage, how bark beetle infestations can be handled in areas with abundant deadwood and which digital tools can be used in terms of carbon storage. The workshop highlighted the challenges and opportunities in forest management, biodiversity conservation and the use of ecosystem services for sustainability and community benefits.
