From the 4th to the 6th of June the study visit and project partner meeting took place in Mallnitz, Austria.
On the 4th of June, partners got familiar with the concept of the local Alpine Pearls Association clustering accommodation facilities and tourism services providers.
The second day was dedicated to a project review meeting and discussions on such topics as: cross-border cooperation within ÖAV-Landesverband Kärnten, common challenges of the Alps and the Carpathians, Alpine Pearls cooperation focused on future-oriented, climate-friendly mobility and its positive effects on vacation in harmony with the environment.
In the afternoon, a guided tour and hike to the Seebach Valley with the Hohe Tauern National Park rangers gave the project partners an overview of the National Park, which has 1,856 sq. km of untouched nature for plants, animals, and humans experience. During the tour partners spoke about the different tour offerings for tourists, and sustainable development.
On the 6th of June, the project partner meeting was continued with the topics of management, reporting and next steps. We also discussed about National Park. Partners received also answers about organizational aspects such as relationship between National Park and local authorities, its cooperation, including crucial financing aspects. Discussion was also connected with guided tour at the BIOS National Park Center Mallnitz.
