The webinar, which lasted 1.5 hours, was aimed at sharing insights into the integration of circular economy principles within small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). A total of 34 participants, including stakeholders and interested companies, registered for the event, with 16 of them actively attending the session.

The webinar featured four speakers: Daniela Guss, Agnes Frank, Mohamed Elshikh, and Rainold Brotsack, the program director of DIT. Each provided their perspectives on circular economy practices and how companies can leverage these to reduce waste and enhance resource efficiency, as well as the aims of the project REUSE2030 and its benefits.

The session was highly interactive, with four participants voicing their thoughts during the discussions (Mr. Kurt Fallast from Future Prep, Ms. Verena Kraßnig from Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark, Ms. Kaixi Song from Kaixi and Mr. Peter Erlach from ECE) and several others engaging through the chat. The speakers and even some participants addressed these questions, fostering a collaborative environment. An in-session survey was also conducted, to which most attendees responded.

The question of the survey was “How important is the topic of circular economy in your company?” with the possibility of voting from 1 (not important at all) to 5 (very important). The majority of attendees chose the answer “4 – this topic is becoming more important”.
