Tehnostan d.o.o. is a company whose primary activity is the production, distribution and supply of heat energy in the Vukovar city area. In addition to district heating activities, it also has a long-standing tradition in building management and performing chimney sweeping activities in the concession area of the city of Vukovar, including the suburbs of Sotin and Lipovača and the city of Ilok.
The company is 100% owned by the City of Vukovar and employs 35 people. Its primary goals are to improve the production of heat energy through energy efficiency, better utilisation of input energy sources, lower the costs of primary energy sources, and use renewable energy sources. The company has invested in RES for the production of thermal energy to gradually replace fossil fuels with RES, especially solar energy.
Tehnostan believes that the proposed activities can effectively transform district heating systems from predominantly powered by fossil fuel to more sustainable and efficient by introducing RES and waste heat into the fuel mix. They consider the technical partners of the proposal as highly capable of providing them with needed support in designing a transformation investment plan and providing knowledge transfer to them and their stakeholders in the region. With the implementation of the project, Tehnostan will be able to transform into a system with at least 50% fuel coming from RES and heat wastage by 2035, to which we are firmly committed.
They are interested in being strongly involved in project activities and implementing results. They will contribute to the project by exchanging information and experiences regarding our knowledge. Tehnostan involvement in the project will ensure insight into real data from the field as well as historical data that they have collected over the years of our work.
