We sought inspiration from good examples inĀ  city Trnava. During a guided tour, the vice-mayor highlighted several best practices that benefit locals, biodiversity, tourists, and a cleaner environment.

What measures is the city taking?

To support cycling, the city is building infrastructure for cyclists. To mitigate the impacts of climate change, it plants greenery and flowers for pollinators in urban areas. Through various projects, they are revitalizing residential zones and transforming them into parks with water features that are pleasant for people.

In the city center, they are working to restore historic buildings and convert streets into pedestrian zones. Trnava is an exemplary city in that it considers the well-being of its citizens, strives to enhance urban biodiversity, and supports various forms of gentle mobility. According to the vice-mayor, the city is doing everything to ensure that locals feel good, which is reflected in the increase in the number of tourists.
