On 19 November 2024, the Trans-Borders+ project partners gathered in Vienna for a pivotal meeting hosted by AustriaTech. This event marked significant progress in advancing cross-border public transport solutions, with fruitful discussions across several key work packages (WPs).

The meeting highlighted the development of a Transnational strategy (WP1) aimed at improving accessibility and mobility across Central Europe. Partners focused on harmonising technical and legal frameworks while fostering collaboration through stakeholder working groups.

Under WP2, advancements were shared regarding the implementation of OJP-based traveller information systems. The session emphasised the importance of real-time data quality and its role in improving travel planning across borders.

For WP3, updates included the finalisation of the “Mobility Points Toolbox”—a comprehensive guide for upgrading transport infrastructure. Upcoming pilot actions, such as innovative bus routes between Nova Gorica and Gorizia, reflect the project’s tangible impact, aligned with the European Capital of Culture 2025 initiative.

The meeting concluded with a vibrant networking session, reinforcing the commitment of all partners to deliver integrated transport solutions across Central Europe.
