As project partners within the GreenChemForCE project, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (PP8, CCIS) participated in an important event in their home country, Slovenia. The event was focused on future innovations, emphasizing sustainable and safe approaches in the chemical industry. During this gathering, a roundtable discussion was held, where participants engaged in dialogue on sustainable and safe design processes. The representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia attended the event primarily due to its thematic alignment with the project. The principles of safe and sustainable design in the chemical industry are part of a voluntary approach introduced by the European Commission in December 2022.
This initiative encourages process innovations in the production of chemicals and materials, with the goal of reducing negative environmental impacts and enhancing safety for both people and nature. Participation in the event was a significant opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and best practices. Additionally, it strengthened connections among various stakeholders committed to a more sustainable future in the chemical industry.
