On December 6th at 10:30, a workshop titled “Living Lab Evaluation of the Bio-based Product from KERLINE” will take place at the main site of CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche) in Bologna. The event will focus on testing the product HMW-Ker, a high-molecular-weight keratin extracted from wool sourced from certified cruelty-free farms using an environmentally friendly, water-based extraction process.

KERLINE srl, known for its innovative work in valorizing waste from the textile and dairy industries, has developed HMW-Ker, which preserves the protein structure of the keratin, offering unique regeneration and biocompatibility properties. Unlike conventional keratins in the cosmetic market, HMW-Ker can be used as a carrier for active ingredients or in the creation of electrospun nanofibers and microparticles.

The Focus Group at the workshop will include distributors, formulators of cosmetic raw materials, and end-consumers who will test the product’s acceptability. The goal of the workshop is to assess consumer acceptance, identifying any potential resistance or doubts regarding the use of the product in cosmetic formulations. This event aims to highlight the regenerative and anti-aging benefits of HMW-Ker, positioning it as a sustainable alternative to synthetic materials in the cosmetic industry.
