The City of Zagreb and REGEA, in cooperation with ZICER, organized an inspiring hackathon as part of the GreenScape CE project. The event brought together nearly 70 participants across seven teams, all committed to developing greener and more sustainable urban spaces. Focused on innovative solutions for Zagreb’s sports fields, the hackathon tackled critical challenges such as climate change, sustainable drainage systems, reducing the urban heat island effect, and integrating green infrastructure and natural solutions. The winning team, Threesixty, comprised students from the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb, presented a creative project connecting the settlements of Sopot, Utrine, and Travno through rainwater collection and local reuse. Their well-deserved prize was presented by Nataša Milutin Naglić, Assistant Head of Department for Strategic and Spatial Planning. Congratulations to all participants for their creativity and dedication as we continue working towards making grey cities greener!
