Berlin, 12 February 2024 – A productive two-day workshop on Work Packages 1 and 2 (WP1 & WP2) concluded successfully in Berlin, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss critical developments in regional energy systems and hydrogen initiatives.
Key Highlights:
On 11 February, the WP1 session focused on summarizing regional analysis results, identifying challenges, best practices, and solutions (D.1.1.2). Additionally, participants engaged in an interactive discussion led by RLI on the guidelines for designing strategies and action plans (D.1.2.1).
The WP2 session covered the testing of the energy system of Lübben (D.2.1.2), presented by SWL with contributions from RLI. A follow-up discussion on the H2 voucher mechanism (D.2.2.2) also took place, building on the online workshop held on 28 January.
The day concluded with an informal networking dinner at Restaurant Kurhaus Korsakow, providing an excellent opportunity for further discussions in a relaxed setting.
On 12 February, the WP2 session resumed with key reports on digital GIS database testing (D.2.1.1) and a strategic decision support tool (D.2.1.3), led by UCV. Discussions also addressed the testing of regional H2 Competence Centers (D.2.2.3) and a peer review document of pilot results (D.2.2.4).
The workshop concluded with a final discussion on next steps and action plans, ensuring continued collaboration among partners. Participants shared positive feedback on the interactive format and the productive exchange of insights.
