Lublin University of Technology, together with researchers from Italy, Slovenia and Croatia, will save the spaces of four historic cities in Europe. All thanks to a special project to combat climate change. The experts have €1.5 million at their disposal.
In Lodz, researchers will focus on the problem of torrential rain and introduce green infrastructure to improve water management.
In Pinerolo, Italy, they will cool urban spaces, including by introducing canopies with a high reflective capacity.
In Velenje, Slovenia, researchers will repair a poorly revitalised space that has become an urban desert. They will introduce mobile furniture with green elements.
