Educational Workshops Underway in Lublin as Part of the WEEE Lives Campaign

Date: 19.03.2025

As part of the Circular WEEEP project, the WEEE Lives pilot campaign continues to engage students in Lublin, fostering environmental awareness and promoting the reuse of electrical and electronic waste.

In March 2025, educational workshops are taking place in the five primary schools that participated in the WEEE Lives campaign—SP 2, SP 31, SP 34, SP 46, and SP 51. These workshops aim to reinforce students’ understanding of responsible waste management and circular economy principles. Through interactive sessions, students learn about the environmental impact of electronic waste and practical ways to extend the life cycle of electronic devices.

The workshops build upon the success of the WEEE collection initiative held in October 2024, during which students collected small-sized WEEE to encourage responsible disposal habits. The school that collected the most waste was awarded a modern waste segregation station, and students from the winning classes received gifts for their participation.

By combining hands-on activities with educational sessions, the WEEE Lives campaign continues to inspire young generations to adopt sustainable behaviors. These workshops are a key step in reinforcing long-term environmental responsibility and ensuring that students carry forward the principles of the circular economy in their daily lives.
