Championing social innovation and sustainable development in Dalmatia

Located in the city of Split on Croatia’s Adriatic coast, CEDRA Split (Cluster for Eco-Social Innovation and Development) is actively involved in advancing inclusive, sustainable development in the region. With over 25 years of experience, CEDRA has built a strong foundation of expertise in social entrepreneurship, human resource development, and eco-social innovation.

A pioneer in social innovation

CEDRA Split is one of the founding members of Croatia’s national support system for eco-social innovation and entrepreneurship, recognized by the National Strategy for Social Entrepreneurship Development 2015–2020. Its mission is not only to promote entrepreneurship, but to ensure that innovation is accessible and inclusive. By supporting marginalized and vulnerable groups, youth, civil society organizations, schools, and cooperatives, CEDRA helps build an ecosystem where everyone has a chance to contribute and grow.

Projects that make a difference

CEDRA has implemented and led a variety of national and international projects in areas such as:

  • STEM and ICT education
  • Eco-social entrepreneurship and school cooperatives
  • Youth employment and NEET inclusion
  • Sustainable tourism and environmental protection

It has also served as a communication coordinator in EU-funded projects, with proven success in engaging hard-to-reach groups and maintaining active, inclusive outreach through events and social media.

CEDRA Split in TASK4ISI

Within the TASK4ISI project, CEDRA Split plays an important role. The organization coordinates all project communication efforts, including the development of communication strategies, creation of content, and promotion of key events. It also works on the establishment of the ISIHUB in Split, along with Croatian partner PI RERA S.D., building upon its successful model developed in the earlier TASKFORCOME project. In addition, CEDRA co-develops important regional tools such as the Croatian Business Skills and Matchmaking Programme, Local Action Plans, and the TASK4ISI Toolkit for Inclusive Entrepreneurship. As an active host of several project events, including the 2nd Study Visit, the 2nd TNISIHUB Meeting, and the 3rd Steering Committee Meeting, CEDRA contributes both its organizational experience and local insight. Through all these activities, it continues its long-standing commitment to empowering people and communities, connecting local strengths with transnational opportunities, and promoting entrepreneurship that is both inclusive and impactful.
