Our aim is to develop a final intersectoral cooperation procedure based on our pilot action's demonstrative testing and transnational peer review. This procedure will serve as a step-by-step guide outlining the most promising techniques for designing cross-sectoral bioeconomy value chains. We specifically focus on sectors such as agroecology, bioenergy, food, forestry, water, biobased materials, and biochemistry. Additionally, we will create a canvas to facilitate adoption by other bioeconomy institutions, such as industry clusters or business/agriculture support institutions. O.1.3

We are establishing a new protocol for testing bio-based products using the local living lab approach. This protocol is crucial because it provides a structured method to ensure that bioeconomy products meet real-world needs and are environmentally sustainable. It will serve as a new service offered to business support institutions. The protocol will be utilized by members of the CE Bioeconomy Stakeholder Forum and offered to the BIOEAST initiative and SMEs in the biobased industry. Its purpose is to enhance regional bioeconomy efforts through a co-creation approach that integrates citizen participation in verifying bioeconomy products. (O.2.2.)

We reviewed the CAP strategies of participating countries to assess their potential support for transitioning to a biomass-based economy. Next, we will create a strategy and action plan to implement these CAP measures effectively. The CE Bioeconomy Strategy will guide how we engage BIOEAST members with a bioeconomy action plan, ensuring these measures integrate smoothly into national policies. Our action plan will detail the steps needed to translate strategy into concrete actions, developed collaboratively by all partners and aimed at BIOEAST Initiative Ministries and thematic working groups.
