On April 24, 2025, Dr. Pio Alessandro Lombardi from the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal, partner of the Interreg project ZEB4ZEN, presented the first results of the project’s digital model at the WIP Project workshop “Kommunale Wärmeplanung und Energieeffizienz – Innovative Ansätze und digitale Chancen,” held in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Eisleben Lutherstadt.
The workshop brought together around 40 participants, including 15 representatives from cities and municipalities. It focused on forward-looking topics such as Energy Communities, Communal District Heating systems, and enhancing Energy Efficiency in historical buildings and urban centers. Dr. Lombardi’s presentation demonstrated how digital tools can empower municipalities to plan for zero-emission futures.
