The European Week of Regions and Cities (EWCR) will take place in Brussels from 9-12 October. It is aimed at anyone who works for cities, municipalities or regions or is concerned with the opportunities and challenges they face. As part of the EWRC, the planned workshop will provide an insight into the future of the retail sector and in particular highlight the challenges and opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the retail sector in city centres across the EU. To this end, it will also highlight some inter-regional examples of city centre revitalisation, where local trade and consumption is becoming more digital, circular and sustainable. The NiCE-consortium will present their project and their upcoming tasks about making city centres more circular.
