Mirica Karlovits from the National Institute of Chemistry had the great opportunity to promote TeBiCE project at the 9th Conference on Information and Graphic Arts Technology. The conference was organised by University of Ljubljana (Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering) in Ljubljana (Slovenia), on 11-12 April, 2024. One of the 27 topics of the conference was also »Ecology, waste management and recycling.«
In the poster session, Mirica presented »Global market and forecast of edible packaging«. Edible packaging is designed to reduce waste, reduce carbon footprint and improve overall sustainability while providing safe and effective packaging for a variety of foods. They can be made from various natural sources, including algae, starch, proteins and other plant-based materials. These materials are biodegradable, compostable and can even provide additional nutritional benefits
Around 70 participants, including academics, students and industry representatives, showed great interest in these topics.
