Needs for skills evolve fast within the precision farming paradigm. A Call for talents will be launched by the Agri Digital Growth project. The call is coordinated by partner EIT Digital, with the support of research and innovation organisations from Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Italy and Slovenia. The call will be launched on the 8th of November 2024 in a dedicated session at EIMA International 2024, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for the sector of agricultural machinery, taking place in Bologna.
The details of the call will be illustrated at the event. Students, researchers or young innovators will be invited to participate to the call, through challenges-driven work, in the form of hackathons. Winners will access internships at key technical partners of the Agri Digital Project. The challenges will relate to using remote sensing for precision viticulture; developing AI approaches for crop monitoring; designing solutions for climate change; working on the integration of new technologies for irrigation; and to using augmented reality (AR) for the management of critical agricultural data.
The launch of the call for talent will take place on the 8th of November from 10.00 in the Hall Suite.
