Coopernicus workshop

Online
Date: 22.04.2024
A capacity-building workshop focused on the Copernicus platform, a cornerstone of the European Union’s Earth observation program. Staff from the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana will guide the event.

The workshop is centred around the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), which integrates satellite and in-situ data to provides a comprehensive view of the climate’s past, present, and future states. This service supports European climate adaptation and mitigation policies across various sectors by providing essential climate change indicators.

Participants will gain insights into the types of data available through the Climate Data Store (CDS), including in-situ observations, satellite data, reanalyses of historical data, and climate projections up to the year 2100 based on different global and regional climate models.
