The GreenScape CE project is hosting its upcoming partner meeting on November 21-22, 2024, in the historic city of Ptuj, Slovenia, at Stara Steklarska, Mladinsko Kulturni Center. This two-day in-person event will convene project partners to review progress, strategize on key initiatives, and explore nature-based solutions (NBS) and green infrastructure (GI) efforts aimed at climate-proofing urban landscapes across Central Europe.
The agenda on Day 1 opens with an overview of management and communication strategies led by REGEA and ALDA+, followed by thematic sessions on “Sowing the Seeds” for sustainable urban development. Partners will engage in discussions on WP1 deliverables, best practices, and the integration of Local Action Plans for urban NBS. The day will conclude with a study visit around Ptuj, providing a firsthand look at successful green infrastructure implementations, followed by a joint dinner at Gostilna Rozika.
Day 2 will focus on NBS and GI pilot actions under “Bring About Change” and “Reap the NBS Benefits” themes. ETIFOR will lead the morning sessions, covering WP2 updates, pilot rollout plans, and feasibility studies. The afternoon will feature sessions on WP3 led by UIRS, Energiaklub, and ALDA+, where partners will discuss mapping strategies for connecting GI/NBS sites, awareness-raising initiatives, and strategies for expanding the GreenScape CE network.
With in-depth sessions, collaborative workshops, and insightful site visits, this meeting will solidify the GreenScape CE partnership’s commitment to creating resilient, green urban spaces.
