We discussed with colleagues from Austria, along with representatives from the Královéhradecká Regional Tourism Center and the Ministry of Regional Development, the usage of dataspaces and their advantages in the tourism sector.
From practical examples and discussions, three important points emerged. Firstly, there are two possibilities for starting to build a dataspace: either you define the questions first and then collect the data, or you collect the data first and then define the questions, it works the both way.
Secondly, each region is different and must consider its own specific needs when building a dataspace. With good data, it will be easier to make decisions, and predictive analysis can save a lot of costs. Thirdly, the foundation of building and using dataspaces is trust and cooperation.
