New Program for Kindergartens in Jizera Mountains

Location: Czechia
Date: 04.06.2024
The children from the Frydlantsko region learned about the life of beech trees, how the seeds are spread, what is needed for beech trees to grow, for whom they provide shelter, how foresters take care of beech trees, why they are important for our lives and what dead wood is good for. In the framework of that program the education expert Lenka Kubíková, an EVVO lecturer at the Střevlik Centre for Environmental Education in Hejnice, and forest pedagogue and forest ranger Jana Hlušičková of the Foret management of the Czech Republic came together and shared their knowledge. Further programs are planned for Autumn 2024.
