On the 13th and 14th of June, representatives from all project partners gathered in the Saxon capital to set the course for improved cross-border transport connectivity in Central Europe’s peripheral areas. The participants were warmly welcomed by Mr. Stephan Gerstenberg, Head of Department at the Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport, who emphasised the importance of the project for regional development and European integration.
The meeting marked the official beginning of the project, which aims to enhance mobility in border regions through innovative public transport solutions and simultaneously create new suitable IT structures for this purpose. The partners will work closely together to develop new services and digital information systems that facilitate citizens’ access to efficient public transport.
