On Friday, December 13th, Parma hosted the presentation of the White Paper resulting from the participatory evaluation of the reception system for asylum seekers and refugees. The event gathered representatives from local and regional institutions, civil society organisations, and stakeholders, including refugees, social workers, and researchers from GEtCoheSive partner organisations such as CIAC, ASP Bologna, and ActionAid Italia. Participants also included representatives from the Municipalities of Parma, Fidenza, Bologna, and the Emilia-Romagna Region.
This event marked a significant milestone for the pilot of the GEtCoheSive project, which emphasizes a participatory approach to system evaluation. The White Paper highlighted challenges, needs, and opportunities within the current reception system and proposed concrete recommendations for improvement. By fostering dialogue between refugees, social workers, and decision-makers, this initiative aims to create a more effective, inclusive, and responsive reception system. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this collaborative effort
