The partners involved in Activity 1.4 are CEVI-Confindustria Verona, which is the lead partner and coordinator of this activity, the Chamber of Agricultural and Food Enterprises of Slovenia, the Federation of the Food and Drink Industries of the Czech Republic and Innoskart Digital Cluster (Hungary).
The aim of this activity is to create a permanent consultation platform with S3 managers for the analysis of regional and national innovation strategies. Furthermore, the project in this phase aims to stimulate dialogue and cooperation between the various countries involved. The goal is to spread the knowledge of the S3 adopted by each country and of the financial instruments made available to companies in the four pilot areas of D4PACK project (IT, HU, CZ, SI) to facilitate the transition of SMEs towards more sustainable packaging. Moreover, the activities carried out within the scope of D4PACK can also provide useful ideas and indications to local authorities. This will help them direct their future strategies.
The issue of sustainable packaging is crucial, D4PACK project tackles it by providing a new TTS service, a decision-support system, that can effectively help SMEs to estimate the impact of the adoption of a new packaging. The direct involvement of local S3 authorities is essential throughout the project life, in addition to the partners, in order to create a dialogue and a connection between policies, TTS and financial tools, useful for the implementation of future regional strategies.
In January, D4PACK organizes an event to gather the S3 authorities of the four pilot areas of the project who will share their policy strategies, project experiences, financial tools made available, and also create synergies at European level.
