During the days of our New Berliners’ Assembly, a citizens’ assembly with participants who migrated to Berlin, we happened to come across the painting ‘Behind the Fence’ by Armenian artist Sam Grigorian, who is based in Berlin. „There are so many voices behind the fence that one does not hear“, Sam explained. He could not have described more accurately what we do at GEtCoheSive !
We showed our participants the painting. The next day, less than 24 hours later, Larysa Seeling from Ukraine presented us with her own painting. She had created it overnight and asked the other participants of the assembly to sign it – as a present for us! It was one of the many amazing things that happened during the New Berliners’ Assembly – the first assembly conducted in four different languages.
