The Regional Development Agency in Bielsko-Biała (ARRSA) and the District Office in Bielsko-Biała are joining forces to tackle the growing challenge of electronic waste (WEEE) while addressing social inclusion. The two organizations are collaborating on the Action Plan WEEE Social as part of the Circular WEEEP project.
This ambitious initiative focuses on creating a sustainable and socially responsible approach to electronic waste management. A key component of the Action Plan’s development involves partnering with a consulting company to create a specialized self-analysis tool. This tool will be tailored for the WEEEP enterprises(to guide them in employing individuals at risk of social exclusion, and fostering inclusive employment opportunities within the e-waste sector), and social enterprises. This version of the tool will provide guidance and support for social enterprises seeking to enter the WEEEP market, enabling them to participate in the circular economy and contribute to environmentally sound practices.
The ARS S.A. and the District Office in Bielsko-Biała recognize the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in this endeavor. As part of their preparatory work, representatives from ARS S.A. recently met with the Municipality of Gdańsk. This meeting served as a crucial opportunity to discuss the scope of cooperation and explore potential synergies in implementing the Action Plan. The exchange of best practices and experiences will be invaluable in ensuring the success of the project and its positive impact on both the environment and the community. The Action Plan – WEEE Social promises to be a significant step towards a more circular and inclusive economy in the region.
