What is TASK4ISI?
TASK4ISI is a collaborative initiative bringing together regional innovation hubs (ISIHUBs) across Europe. It focuses on empowering underrepresented entrepreneurs — such as youth, women, migrants, and people with disabilities — through tailored programs, knowledge-sharing, and international cooperation.
Impact Hub Budapest: Building the Network for Change
As a key player in Work Package 1 (WP1), Impact Hub Budapest is helping to develop the Transnational Network of ISIHUBs (TNISIHUB), which coordinates collaboration across countries and supports the local work of ISIHUBs with a broader European framework. Their role includes:
- Creating and operating TNISIHUBs to enhance innovation management at the EU level
- Hosting transnational exchanges and trainings
- Identifying inclusive entrepreneurship success stories and sharing them across the network
- Developing ISIHUB standards (e.g. licensing, branding, operational frameworks)
- Creating a Memorandum of Sustainable Cooperation for long-term growth and funding
Highlights So Far: What’s Already Happened
1. First TNISIHUB Meeting (Budapest, December 2024)
This kickoff event brought together representatives from six countries to share insights from their initial national ISIHUB activities. Through interactive presentations and collaborative discussions, participants mapped shared challenges and proposed strategies for inclusive entrepreneurship — setting the tone for international cooperation moving forward.
2. First Transnational Exchange (Budapest, February 2025)
Hosted by Impact Hub Budapest, the first Transnational Exchange focused on supporting “missing entrepreneurs” — individuals from marginalized groups in Hungary. It featured: A World Café exploring sustainable support methods for youth, women, migrants, and people with disabilities; Presentations of best practices from 10 international partners; A press conference engaging policymakers and stakeholders; A local networking fair with social enterprises driving inclusive business models.
3. Second TNISIHUB Meeting (Online, March 2025)
This virtual follow-up session centered on regional progress showcases and collaborative problem-solving. Topics included recruitment and engagement of disadvantaged groups, featuring breakout rooms, expert insights, and actionable next steps. Notably, Helena Habdija from Youthbank International and Impact Hub Zagreb shared inclusive entrepreneurship strategies, sparking ideas for adaptation across different national contexts.
What’s Next? Join Us in Split, Croatia – June 5–6, 2025
The momentum continues with the upcoming Second Transnational Exchange and Third TNISIHUB Meeting, taking place in Split, Croatia on June 5–6, 2025.
The theme of the Split event will focus on local best practices and sustainability. This hybrid gathering will provide another chance for mutual learning, international exposure, and strengthening of the TASK4ISI network. Entrepreneurs, support organizations, and policymakers will come together to innovate, connect, and co-create inclusive solutions that transcend borders.
Why It Matters
Impact Hub Budapest’s contribution to TASK4ISI exemplifies how local action fuels global impact. By connecting grassroots entrepreneurs to a transnational support ecosystem, they are not only shaping Hungary’s social innovation scene — but also influencing a pan-European model of inclusive entrepreneurship.
If you’re passionate about innovation with purpose, this is a movement worth watching — and joining.
