Following the success of the Initial GREENPACT Collaboration Lab No. 1, the second edition of this dynamic event took place at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Ika on March 5 and 6. During these two days, enthusiastic millennials and Generation Z participants worked together on real-world sustainability challenges.
The event, structured as an intensive hackathon, provided a unique opportunity to:
✅ Develop solutions for sustainability challenges presented by industry leaders.
✅ Engage in meaningful discussions with peers and experts.
✅ Collaborate with tourism sector and creative & cultural companies, applying a “buddy” approach to create innovative and practical solutions.
Participants worked with experienced entrepreneurs, who presented business challenges related to green transformation. With guidance from mentors from leading companies and our partners STEP RI, teams of up to three members brainstormed and developed concrete solutions for sustainable business practices.
After two days of creative problem-solving, idea exchanges, and expert mentorship, the best-performing teams were announced and rewarded.
The event not only enhanced participants’ understanding of circular economy principles but also allowed them to network with industry professionals, explore career opportunities, and contribute to real sustainability efforts. The energy, enthusiasm, and innovative spirit of the attendees proved once again that the younger generations are ready to lead the way toward a greener future.
With another successful GREENPACT Collaboration Lab behind us, we look forward to continuing this initiative and fostering even more innovative solutions for sustainability in tourism and creative and cultural industries.
