Food production and distribution, safety and logistics aspects. The second webinar organized by PULS and PIT-Łukasiewicz dedicated to the Polish Innovation Hub

On September 11th, 2024, the 2nd webinar dedicated to the creation of the Polish Innovation Hub (IH) was organized by the Department of Law and Enterprise Management in the Agribusiness Organization. The topic of the webinar was Food production and distribution – safety and logistics aspects.

The aim of the Innovation Hub (IH) is to support cooperation between stakeholders, including scientists, business experts, food producers, logistics operators and decision-makers. The meeting therefore focused on presenting the activities of companies operating in short food supply chains. Their activities, focused on the local market, were distinguished by the high sustainability of the practices used in production (numerous certificates), guaranteeing the acquisition of safe food.

The invited guests were:

  • Filip Mazur, director of the Przybroda Agricultural and Fruit Farm Experimental Farm of the Poznań University of Life Sciences;
  • Arkadiusz Wojciechowicz, director of the Swadzim Agricultural Experimental Farm of the Poznań University of Life Sciences;
  • Wojciech Styburski, president of Agrointegracja, an agricultural consulting company.

The webinar was moderated by Karol Wajszczuk (PULS), who focused on the presentation of the Matchmaking Platform (MP), an innovative tool for the creation of new B2B connections and logistics services, which will be launched in February 2025.

Afterwards, director Filip Mazur presented new ways of storing and logistics of fruit produced in GD Przybroda, along with new technologies for fruit storage, including controlled atmosphere and Smart Fresh.

In continuation, director of ZD Swadzim, Arkadiusz Wojciechowicz, presented the combination of craft and good taste in the production of cheeses produced from own breeding using the artisan method and the impact of logistics and promotion methods, which determine success.

The last presentation was carried out by Wojciech Styburski and included information on healthy eating and food supply and distribution within short food supply chains.

The next webinar related to the creation of the Polish Innovation Hub will be held in November. More information will be available soon.
