The project “Energy is Future” organized by the NGO “LIFE” Education, Environment and Equality e.V. Advanced training for women with migration history.First-hand experiences and empirical studies show that refugee women from the South, the Middle East and beyond often hold occupational experience and degrees in technical fields and engineering but … unfortunately, most of these degrees are not recognized as equal to the classical German dual occupational training or academic system.
Women with these skills are prepared in part-time programs to work in energy related and environmental jobs which leads to further recognition of degrees obtained outside of Germany and follows the political demand for more skilled employees in technical and sustainable fields.
