The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Prof. Dr. Hans-Liudger Dienel of TUB, followed by Andrea Bardi, General Director of the Institute for Transport and Logistics (ITL) and lead partner of the project. Bardi emphasized the crucial link between the energy transition and sustainable transport in making our cities more livable. The meeting featured key updates on the project’s activities, including a review of Work Package 1 (WP1) and presentations on innovative strategies for boosting sustainable mobility. A special focus was placed on how to engage and empower stakeholders through interviews and surveys aimed at promoting shared, eco-friendly commuting options.
The Consortium members also enjoyed a guided tour of the EUREF Campus, led by TUB’s management board spokeswoman, Ms. Karin Teichmann. The tour highlighted the innovative green practices at the campus, underscoring the shared vision of integrating energy and mobility solutions.
The two-day meeting wrapped up with a Steering Committee session to review project milestones and discuss the path forward. The next meeting is set to take place in early 2025, with partners committed to continuing their efforts in creating sustainable commuting options for Central Europe.
