After the meeting, we asked the Ministry representatives for an overall assessment of the project and also about its benefits for this institution. They confirmed that the objectives of the project are closely linked to government priorities and results and outcomes will contribute to better management of Slovakia’s national parks. They found good affinity with other national projects which are the part of the reform of Slovak national parks, intended to improve tourism management and contribute to sustainable tourism in Slovakia. Their expectations were met because in their opinion the HUMANITA project is progressing well. They assessed positively the tourist participation in terms of effectiveness in contributing to the monitoring of their impact on environment. They believe that developed monitoring methods will help to adopt better measures and so mitigate the impacts.
