One of the topics of the meeting was the promotion of innovative tools within Alternative Food Networks (AFNs), presented by Alina Nowotarska and Benedykt Peplinski from the University of Life Sciences in Poznań. They discussed the opportunities offered by the Polish Innovation Hub, as well as the online platforms developed within the Food4CE project to support the activities of the Innovation Hubs: the Knowledge Transfer Platform (KTP) and the Matchmaking Platform (MP). These platforms assist local producers in creating short supply chains, exchanging knowledge, matching producers with service providers, and implementing modern technologies in the horticultural sector.
The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss other topics, including:
- Review of the season at the R-SGD Przybroda plantation (Dr. Marcin Zachwieja)
- Modern fertilization and biostimulation of plants (Albert Zwierzynski, Barbara Blaszczyk, Szymon Jablonski)
- FARGO’s offer for fruit growers
We would like to thank our host, Filip Mazur, for the opportunity to present the results of the project work and all participants for their active interest in the topics of innovative food networks and modern tools for fruit farming! The Food4CE project shows that the future of agriculture is not only about traditional farming methods, but also about smart solutions to support local producers.
