The 3P4SSE Peer Review in Trento and Rovereto, Italy, brought together 24 participants to exchange experiences and assess Trentino’s Local Action Plan (LAP) for strengthening solidarity economy districts (DES). Hosted by the Autonomous Province of Trento (PAT) and Trentino Federation of Cooperation (FTC), the event featured field visits, discussions, and strategic insights on SSE governance.

Key highlights:

  • Examining Trentino’s LAP focus areas: Mapping, SSE Forum, and Awareness-raising.
  • Visiting Le Formichine, a cooperative supporting women at risk, and Orto in Bosco, a project promoting social inclusion and sustainable food production.
  • Discussing DES governance, focusing on communication, role definition, and long-term sustainability.
  • Closing with a symbolic visit to Maria Dolens, the bell of peace, reaffirming the commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.

The FTC-led mapping process, supported by Euricse, is already underway, with 13 DES stakeholders interviewed to shape the next phase of Trentino’s LAP.

A huge thank you to the hosts, project partners, and stakeholders for their contributions. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build stronger and more resilient social economies across Central Europe.
