The initial phase involved presenting the digital tool to a representative of the Municipality, who provided valuable feedback on its functionality. The developers addressed these shortcomings, leading to the Municipality’s approval of the refined tool. With the tool ready for deployment, LEASP and the Municipality began planning a local launch event to maximise community engagement.
The launch event on 16th June 2024 was strategically scheduled to coincide with the Municipality’s local event, ensuring widespread participation. To facilitate the tool’s adoption, LEASP prepared a comprehensive guide in Slovenian, detailing how to install and use the mapping tool, as well as how to report local energy transition challenges. The Municipality representative was also briefed on leveraging the reported data for community benefits.
To further encourage citizen participation, the tool’s availability was announced on the Municipality’s official website and social media platforms. Citizens can download the app directly from the website and access the user guide. The instructions emphasise the significance of the tool in addressing energy transition challenges, highlighting the collective benefits of active community involvement.
