The Sosnowiec project team presented the CICADA4CE project to the Senior Citizens Council of the City of Sosnowiec. The initiative emphasizes climate change adaptation, fostering unity across generations to address environmental challenges.

Senior citizens in Sosnowiec have actively participated in the project’s various activities. They joined intergenerational workshops alongside young people and experts to discuss pressing issues such as the urban heat island effect, air quality, and sustainable mobility. These collaborative efforts have resulted in shared visions for the city’s future.

In addition to workshops, seniors contributed their knowledge and experience to the design of a community garden at Janusz Korczak High School. This green space will serve as a symbol of the city’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

The CICADA4CE project welcomes continued involvement from senior citizens, encouraging their participation in upcoming events and initiatives. Through their engagement, Sosnowiec residents of all ages are working together to build a resilient, sustainable future.
