The meeting was attended by our project officer from the Joint Secretariat (JS), who provided valuable feedback on our activities. During the event, we presented the achievements of the project to date, as well as our plans for the upcoming months. Our discussions centered around the completion of key deliverables, all of which can now be viewed on our website, including:
- Transnational Carbon Farming Training Material for Farmers (Deliverable D.1.1.1): A comprehensive guide designed to help farmers implement carbon farming techniques across Central Europe.
- Carbon Farming Business Model Approach Guide (Deliverable D.2.1.1): A framework to support the development of sustainable business models that integrate carbon farming practices.
- Strategy for Mainstreaming Carbon Farming in Central Europe (Deliverable D.3.1.1): A strategic document outlining the steps needed to integrate carbon farming into mainstream agricultural practices across Central Europe.
- Carbon Sequestration Monitoring Methodology (Deliverable D.3.2.1): A methodology for tracking and quantifying the carbon sequestration achieved through farming techniques.
- Carbon Farming Monitoring Strategy Roadmap: A roadmap that will guide the monitoring and evaluation of carbon farming practices, ensuring their long-term sustainability and effectiveness.
In addition to reviewing our deliverables, we had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from the Clim4Cast and MECOG-CE projects. This provided an excellent opportunity for collaboration, and several potential synergies between our projects were identified. We are excited to explore these connections further in the coming months.
As we continue to work towards our goals, we look forward to our next project meeting, scheduled for January 2025, where we will further develop the strategic initiatives that were discussed in Brno.
