This week, on the 25th and 26th of March 2025, a SuPeRBE consortium gathered in Italy’s capital of chocolate, Turin, for the second General Assembly meeting of the project. The two-day meeting was hosted by Regione Piemonte.

The meeting led to productive discussions that are the key for taking the next steps in the project and continuing the good work. Pilot areas and their obstacles, opportunities, and plans for pilot actions were presented, which gave a clear vision for the future.

As a part of the meeting, partners had an opportunity to take a walk with an urban planner from The City of Torino around one of Turin’s neighbourhoods where brownfield was transformed into a parking area that includes innovative nature-based solutions and permeable materials. The urban planning department of Torino recognised the need to change the visual identity of the city and successfully involve citizens in doing so.
