Summer is in full swing and we are talking about how to save water that needs to be replaced in swimming pools.

Yesterday, project partners gathered in Jaworzno for a meeting to share progress on eco-friendly water management initiatives.

In Poland, our focus remains on the installation of blue-green infrastructure at Gródek Park in Jaworzno. Our team will be diligently testing various substrates to optimize rainwater infiltration, while also designing a rain garden to collect and reintroduce rainwater into the ground sustainably.

Our Czech partners presented innovative concepts for rainwater treatment and utilization in Novy Bydzov. With a spotlight on applications at the winter stadium and Aquapark swimming pool, we are exploring how rainwater, post-treatment, can effectively meet daily water replacement needs and reduce reliance on drinking water amidst microbiological challenges.

Additionally, we had the privilege of learning from the experiences of our partners in Ljubljana. Partners from Ljubljana are preparing a pilot investment in Tivoli Park to define infiltration parameters. They are also preparing a detailed map of infiltration capacity, drawing comparisons between apartment blocks and single-family houses. This valuable data will be integrated into the Ljubljana Urban Spatial Plan for enhanced sustainability.
