Date: 31.03.2025

Last 27 March in Bevagna (Italy)  the 2025 edition of the Federunacoma Think Tank took place, the Federation’s annual meeting with member companies on the most topical issues.

‘Renewing the enterprise: strategies and tools to meet the challenges of the market’ was this year’s theme, in a meeting divided into a plenary session in the morning and working tables in the afternoon.

The plenary session was opened by the greeting of FederUnacoma General Manager Simona Rapastella – who also coordinated the proceedings – followed by the speech of President Mariateresa Maschio. The keynote speeches were given by Federico Fubini, deputy editor of Corriere della Sera – who took stock of the current economic scenario and the critical factors in the short and medium term – and Stefano Galli, Global Business Partner NielsenIQ, who spoke about the evolution of demand and consumption styles with particular regard to the mega-trends for the future.

Three tables were held in the afternoon. The first was dedicated to ‘Investing in research: partnerships and financing for product innovation’ and saw Alessio Bolognesi, FederUnacoma Technical Office as coordinator and Eugenio Straffelini, UniPD – Luca Masiero,CREA – Paolo Gay, UniTO as experts. The second to ‘Managing the company: generational change and the role of young entrepreneurs’, coordinator Paolo Buttaci, Federunacoma Events Office and expert Giulietta Sada, Adjunct Faculty Member Luiss Business School. Lastly, the third to ‘Innovative marketing: techniques and languages aimed at different market segments’, co-ordinator Girolamo Rossi, Head of Communication and Business Culture FederUnacoma and expert Matteo Bonù, Food Industry Director NIQ Italia.

The Think Tank concluded with a new collective moment, during which the conclusions of the working tables were summarised. According to the organisers, agricultural mechanics is called upon to play an even more strategic role in guaranteeing those standards of quality and sustainability that are now demanded of the agricultural world by consumers themselves. ‘The agromechanical sector has always accompanied the growth and strengthening of the agricultural economy. Through research and innovation,’ said FederUnacoma President Mariateresa Maschio, ’manufacturers have created increasingly advanced machinery, capable of optimising agricultural processing by reducing inputs and improving sustainability.’
Within this perspective, projects such as Agri-Digital Growth represent an opportunity for the advancement of agricultural economics. Its implementation is expected to drive competitiveness within the sector, facilitating access for farmers to cutting-edge solutions that align with evolving market demands nowadays.
