This kind of event is an important milestone for the project, as it facilitated a professional exchange of ideas between online participants, which will support the continued success of the project.
The target audience included nursing educators from nursing schools, hospitals, and nursing homes.
The workshops are officially accredited as professional trainings, focused on integrated XR technologies (Virtual and Augmented Reality) into nursing education.
On the half-day events in Germany at OTH Regensburg on 21st November, 2024 and on 26th November, 2024 the participants had the opportunity to test VR applications in areas such as clinical simulations, anatomy, and communication training, and to evaluate potential use cases.
The Hungarian event took place at Széchenyi Egyetem, University of Győr on 21st January, 2025 in a hybrid format with online presence with the participation of consortium members, and with invited guests. During the workshop there were presented the Train-the-Trainer study developed by the Digital Development Centre.
Such as the German workshops, this event also gave the opportunity for the participants to learn about the possibilities of virtual reality in the educational environment.
The workshops represented a significant step toward establishing XR technologies in nursing education and supporting institutions in their implementation.
