A two-day online training session was held last week, offering formal carers a comprehensive exploration of the PROCAREFUL model. This training was designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement the proactive care model effectively.
The program included in-depth lectures on the PROCAREFUL model of care and an overview of the reasoning behind the care intervention proposed. A demo of the platform allowed to familiarize with its functionalities.
A unique aspect of the training involved activities that encouraged participants to experience care from a senior’s perspective, offering them a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by older people. Through workshops and assignments, attendees could apply what they learned and share their insights within the group. Feedback from participants highlighted the value of these activities.
This training marks an important step ensuring that carers are well-prepared to deliver local trainings in each pilot site.
