Alessandro Sardella from CNR-ISAC and Stefano Natali form SISTEMA, members of the INACO’s partnership, participated at the two days’ workshop also contributing with a presentation entitled “Innovative strategies to enhance the resilience of sensitive cultural and natural heritage objectives against climate hazards” (authors Alessandro Sardella, Ramiro Marco Figuera, Stefano Natali, Claudia Roberta Calidonna, Alessandra Bonazza) within the afternoon session of October 15 dedicated to “Climate and Awareness”.
In the framework of the aim and objectives of the Interreg Central Europe project INACO, Alessandro Sardella from CNR-ISAC, introduced the methodology for the identification of risk prone areas and the assessment of the vulnerability cultural heritage sites against the impacts of slow and extreme hydrometeorological events and pollution, taking also into account the exploitation of earth observation-based products and datasets. This methodology has been developed and implemented to provide tools and solutions to apply at local scale in supporting policy/decision makers and managers of cultural heritage sites to put in place the most appropriate measures for their protection.
