The 4th stakeholder event was organised in a joint framework, in coordination with the activities of two ongoing collaborations in order to promote the development of the tourism development strategy of Hajdú-Bihar County. The combined format provided an opportunity to exploit synergies between the topics addressing the county’s rural communities and to approach development objectives in a complex way. Following the introduction, the hosts – supported by external experts – presented in detail the latest achievements of the projects, with a particular focus on the study visits and project events of the last six months.
Participants gained information about the good practices of Pomurje region, Slovenia that were visited by the “More than a village” partnership in October 2024. The introduction of the results of this last study visit was followed by the detailed presentation of the progress and results of the mapping process concerning the digital maturity of the municipalities of Bojt, Ebes and Nádudvar.
The needs and suggestions of the population and local businesses identified through the surveys have provided information that will allow the proper design and implementation of the required support, helping to explore the potential of silver economy in the region.
The next expert meeting was tentatively scheduled for late spring 2025.
